About RoomRoaster

We built an AI that roasts your room. Then it tells you how to fix it. That's basically it.

🔥 How it works

Upload a photo of any room — your bedroom, office, living room, that weird corner you've been ignoring. Our AI will analyze it and deliver a brutally honest (but loving) roast of your design choices.

Then, because we're not complete monsters, we'll suggest products that could actually improve the space. Think of it as tough love for your interior design.

🎯 Why we made this

Most "room improvement" tools are boring. They show you Pinterest-perfect spaces that make you feel bad about your IKEA furniture and tangled cables.

We wanted something different: a tool that's actually fun to use, makes you laugh, and still gives you genuinely useful suggestions. The roast format works because it points out specific things you can actually change — not just vague "add more plants" advice.

🤖 The AI

RoomRoaster uses advanced vision AI to analyze your photos. It looks at furniture placement, cable management (or lack thereof), lighting choices, decor decisions, and all those little details that make a room feel put together — or chaotic.

The roasts are generated fresh for each photo. No templates, no generic responses. If you have a gaming chair in your living room, it's going to mention that gaming chair.

🛡️ Privacy

Your photos are private by default. When you upload a photo for roasting, it's analyzed and then immediately deleted. We don't store it, we don't train AI on it, we don't sell it.

The only exception is if you choose to submit your roast to our Hall of Flame. That's completely optional and requires your email and explicit consent. Gallery submissions are reviewed before going live.

For the full details, check out our Privacy Policy.

🔥 The Hall of Flame

After your room gets roasted, you can submit it to the Hall of Flame — our public gallery where roasted rooms live forever. Browse other people's spaces, see what the AI noticed, and feel better about your own design choices.

Every gallery submission is automatically entered into our monthly drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. One entry per email address per month, one winner drawn randomly. See our full rules.

💰 How we make money

When you click on a product recommendation, those are affiliate links. If you buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's it. No ads, no subscriptions, no premium tiers.

We only recommend products that actually make sense for what we roasted. No random "you should buy this desk lamp" suggestions — only stuff that addresses specific things we noticed in your photo.

🙋 FAQ

Is this free?

Yes. Completely free. No signup required.

Will you be mean about my room?

The AI is programmed to roast your design choices, not your life circumstances. It won't comment on cleanliness, make assumptions about your income, or say anything actually hurtful. Think of it as a friend who's an interior designer with strong opinions and zero filter.

Can I share my roast?

Yes! There's a share button that generates an image perfect for Instagram stories, Twitter, or texting to friends. You can also submit to the Hall of Flame if you want your roast to live forever.

How does the Hall of Flame work?

After getting roasted, you can choose to submit your room. Enter your email, confirm it's your room, and we'll review it. Approved submissions go live in the gallery and are entered in our monthly $25 gift card drawing. One entry per email per month — submit multiple rooms if you want, but you'll only be counted once for the drawing.

What if I disagree with the roast?

The AI isn't always right. Sometimes that "questionable" lamp is actually a family heirloom. That's fine — take what's useful, ignore what's not. It's entertainment first, advice second.

Can I remove my room from the gallery?

Yes. Email us at hey@roomroaster.com with your room's URL and we'll remove it within 48 hours.
